Paddy Dakar 2020 cANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19

Paddy Covid Update
Following a recent committee meeting, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that this year's Paddy Dakar will not be taking place. The Paddy Dakar has always been for the benefit of the community of Doon and the surrounding parishes, and we have always relied on their help and support to bring a top class event to you. Now, in these strange and uncertain times, we feel it's our turn to help and to return that support. Covid 19 has laid waste to many events this year big and small across the world, and The Paddy Dakar is no different. We feel that the influx of 200+ entrants into the community would not be the best decision at this time - we need to do our bit to protect the community and you the participants. It is one of the hardest decisions we have had to make, but we feel it is the best for all involved. It will be strange not being able to welcome you this year and we will miss the crack, banter, and your smiling mud covered faces in September. But we will be back next year as good as ever. We do hope you understand and we look forward to your continuing support in the future. Stay safe until we meet again, and remember - rubber side down.
